ACWA’s Best Practice Unit (BPU) is hosting a Client and Performance Outcomes Day on Wednesday, October 4 at our Haymarket office.
This will be an invaluable and practical day to help member agencies grapple with the implications of the shift to outcomes-based practice and contracting for outcomes.
The overall theme of this special BPU event is: Achieving measurement and procurement practices that deliver better outcomes for children in out-of-home care.
The all-day program will include three sessions:
- Outcomes-based practice that meets individual children’s needs(Chair: Dr Wendy Foote, ACWA)
- Outcomes frameworks for practice that focus on the child (Chair: Jamie Hodgson, Key Assets)
- Purchaser-provider relationships that support better outcomes for children(Chair: Associate Gaby Ramia, University of Sydney)
The keynote speaker is Dr Robyn Mildon, Executive Director, Centre for Evidence and Implementation and Hon. Associate Professor, University of Melbourne.
Session speakers include Daniel Barakate (FACS); Adele Brookes (FACS); Marilyn Chilvers (FACS); Hon. Associate Professor Ann Nevile (ANU); Jenny Mason (ex-Director-General FACS and General Manager, Policy & Research, Royal Commission); Alister Whitehead (MacKillop); and Jamie Hodgson (Key Assets).
