Centre for Community Welfare Training
The Centre for Community Welfare Training (CCWT) provides cost effective and accessible training opportunities for people working across the community welfare sector in NSW, in particular those working with vulnerable children, young people and families. CCWT is the training arm of the Association of Children's Welfare Agencies (ACWA), a Registered Training Organisation.
CCWT provides both short courses and in-house training as well as specialised programs, coaching and supervision.
ACWA has been undertaking joint work with the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) to raise awareness about the Joint Protocol to reduce the contact of young people in residential out of home care with the criminal justice system, and to promote its effective and consistent implementation.
