ACWA members have paid tribute to outgoing NSW Children’s Guardian Kerryn Boland for her service and commitment to the community during a special send-off this week.
Kerryn has headed up the Office of the Children’s Guardian since 2005 and agency representatives gathered at ACWA on Wednesday to bid her a warm farewell, thanking her for her dedication and unwavering focus over the past 12 years on the rights and interests of children and young people, for continuously raising the bar and keeping organisations all equally accountable, and for helping to build a stronger child welfare system.
The recently announced new Children’s Guardian Janet Schorer, who has been the Executive Director of the NDIS Reform Group for the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet since November 2014 and has led the Commonwealth negotiations and NSW transition to the NDIS across Government, steps into the role on July 11.
