As part of the Permanency Support Program (PSP) transition process, many agencies are reviewing their policies, procedures and practice guidelines. To assist in this process, ACWA is convening a practical workshop series focused on this development work to reflect the PSP reform.
The purpose of these workshops is to support agencies in the development or review of their policies, procedures and practice guidelines for all permanency pathways in line with the PSP reform.
We aim to bring together Operation/Program Managers who are reviewing policies, procedures and practice guidelines as part of their PSP implementation plan and are willing to share ideas and questions with their sector colleagues.
To ensure these workshops are practical, we ask attendees to bring along documents you have been developing to share at the workshop. By the end of each workshop we aim to have:
- A skeleton draft policy, procedure and practice guidelines for the permanency area identified, and
- The opportunity for attendees to compare policy and procedures with other agencies.

If you are willing to share your draft documents for this purpose, FACS Legal have offered to review them and provide legal advice to ensure they are compliant with the relevant legislation. Only de-identified documents will be shared. If you would like to take up this opportunity, documents will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Please email wendy@acwa.asn.au
