ACWA was proud to be a sponsor of Youth Action’s 2019 NSW Youth Work Awards, which were announced at a gala ceremony held in Sydney on October 1.
The NSW Youth Work Awards are an annual celebration of the exceptional work of youth services and youth workers in our state. This year’s event attracted more than 100 nominations across 11 categories, including the inaugural NSW Emerging Youth Worker, which was supported by ACWA and awarded to Eloise Woods from Glebe Youth Service.
Eloise works across multiple youth and family programs, providing targeted and therapeutic casework for families in the local community. She has demonstrated a commitment to professional and personal development while maintaining a reflective and client centre approach in her practice.
ACWA CEO Steve Kinmond was on hand to present Eloise with her award, along with PCYC Woolloomooloo’s Jess Lorkin, who received a Highly Commended accolade for her hard work, dedication and commitment to working with young people in an evidence-based and empowering manner.
ACWA extends our congratulations and thanks to all the award recipients and nominees. For a full listing visit Youth Action’s awards webpage.
