With many changes happening in our sector new skills are needed to ensure that clients receive high quality services. However funding constraints mean we need to ensure that any professional development is targeted at the right skills and staff, and that an appropriate method of learning is chosen.

The Skills Check document is a quick and easy way to assess the required skills of an individual staff member or a team and to plan professional development activities.


It includes suggestions on how to use the material with a team, and a list of suggested types of professional development activities.
