Fostering NSW Joins Sydney Mardi Gras Fair Day

Thursday, February 2, 2017

This year, Fostering NSW is once again hosting a stall at Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Fair Day on Sunday 19th February. This wonderful community event, which is moving to a new location in Camperdown Memorial Rest Park in Newtown, attracts around 70,000 visitors from far and wide and provides an excellent opportunity to promote fostering and adoption within the LGBTQI and wider community.

Last year, the Fostering NSW team spoke with a steady stream of interested people who were already considering becoming foster carers and potential adoptive parents. Many commented on how pleased they were to see a number of out-of-home care providers at the event and so were able to gather all the information they needed in one place.

We’re looking forward to seeing many of our agency colleagues on the day and to welcoming lots of new enquiries from the LGBTQI community.
