Alan Brennan is CEO of Pathfinders, a regional and rural based not for profit working with disadvantaged youth and families.
He has been involved with child protection and social welfare for more than 35 years. Since becoming CEO in 2004 he has overseen the growth of the Pathfinders’ programs and services and the geographical expansion of the organisation across the New England, North West and Mid North Coast.
He has spearheaded a number of partnerships with other service providers to deliver integrated services to create thriving, connected communities.
Pathfinders offers emergency accommodation in the form of women’s and youth refuges for the homeless, training and education programs for young people including the Tilbuster working farm for young people, a network that strengthens the connections between people with disabilities and their participation in our communities, a national birth certificate sign up program for Indigenous Australians, Family Referral Services across the New England and Mid North Coast, family support services and child protection services.
As a fierce champion of the underprivileged Alan’s work, and that of his team, is dedicated to changing the lives of those less fortunate.
Alan is passionate about the protection and betterment of the lives of children, young people and their families.
He holds qualifications in Law, Social Work, Psychology and Education.
