"The good, the bad and the invisible"

|
The good, the bad and the invisible is a report on an action research project that looked at collaborations and partnerships between the government, non government and private sectors in the Central West region on NSW . The project was undertaken by the Centre for Learning and Social Transformation at the University of Western Sydney and the Association of Childrens Welfare Agencies (ACWA) along with Barnardos Mudgee. The project builds on work by UWS/ACWA in two studies that looked at welfare organisations in Western Sydney and the Central West and identified the imporatnce of partnerships. The report identifies the benefits and disadvantages of partneships and collaborations, the enablers and the barriers and the diffreences between thesectors. The research uncovered a number of insights into practices and the relationships that exist and concludes that an increase in a 'whole of community' approach is a key starrting point for positive outcomes.
