Current Research in Child and Family Welfare

ACWA's Strategic Directions emphasise the fundamental importance of having reliable data and credible local research that can inform policy making and practice.

Consistent with this objective, the Association has produced a list of research in progress, or recently completed, that has relevance for the child, youth and family welfare sector.

While it was originally envisaged that it would be limited to pure research and to NSW, the inflow of information was such that it was decided not to exclude any project that might have relevance, or be of interest to, ACWA. This report, which will be updated yearly, provides the valuable information for the work of the Association and other bodies interested in the improvement of services for children and families.
